I guess well see how it plays out for Steelrising. There a numerous AA releases selling very well at the >$40 price point. If the launch price is targeted to encourage more early adoption, not only would the publisher earn more money per unit, but the momentum generated by word of mouth at the games critical launch phase could encourage further sales. It is also a decent indicator of what most consumers are will to pay for a game from this studio. Greedfall did very well, but the average unit price actually paid was in the neighborhood of $20USD, which means it was heavily wishlisted and purchased at a discount. This game looks interesting, but it is a AA release from Spiders. I watched a franchise I love, Shadow Warrior, suffer from an inflated launch price. I would like to see this game and this studio succeed. I expressed an opinion, and on this matter, a somewhat informed one. Just because you're cheap doesn't mean everyone else is, so speak for yourself and quite making assumptions. Originally posted by FeilDOW:I have zero issue paying $57 CAD for a new release.
